Faith Lutheran celebrated 100 years of worship and praise on August 16, 2009. Worship service was led by our guest pastor, Rev. Philip Mueller. Our guest organist was Cheri Sykes, a member of Faith Lutheran in her youth. Carol Moen gave a synopsis of the history of Faith Lutheran, and Florence Weise read Psalm 100 in Norweigian. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His faithfulness endures from age to age. Our guest speakers were former pastors Ken Melby, Rod Anderson, and Paul Tobiason, in addition to Todd Iverson, Assistant to the Bishop, and our own Rev. Jerry Thompson.

After the worship, a delicious chicken dinner was served. Wonderful cakes and desserts provided by the ladies of the church formed the centerpieces of the tables. The church basement was buzzing with members and former members renewing friendships and recalling our time together. Young children were bouncing on the playground equipment specially provided for their enjoyment.

The afternoon program featured special music, a visit from Ole and Lena, and even a representative from Lutheran Air. Enjoy this slide show. Our thanks to Dennis Weise for recording this event in pictures.
